   For the 2004-2005 academic year, the Visiting Fellow is Jose Luis Cortez, Ph.D., a professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Texas - Pan American at Edinburg, Texas. Cortez has 30 years experience managing laboratory and test operations, including service with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC) and National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA).
