   Jon Cortez started his career in high end kitchen appliance in 1981 when he was first employed as bookkeeper for Reed Supply in Oakland, CA. At Reed, he consulted and sold major appliances, plumbing, and home electronics to consumers.
   
   In 1987, he was hired as Store Manager at Airport Appliances in Hayward, CA. From 1990 to 1997, Jon worked in Sales and Consultation at a variety of appliance stores such as Wicks Appliances in Berkeley, and Bob's Supply in San Francisco, CA. Both of these stores target high-end consumer markets.
   
   In 1998, Jon felt he was ready to start his own high-end appliances store. He and his brother Mark Cortez have seen shortcomings in the high-end appliances stores for which they had worked for so many years. Both brothers saw that high-end customers wanted a complete solution that provided high quality performance, reliability, aesthetics, longevity, and after-sales service.
   
   In 1999, Jon and his brother decided to offer high-end kitchen design and remodeling service that included the high-end appliances. Since then, Jon and his brother continue to put together a strong staff dedicated to world class products and services.
