Timothy Corson (Faculty of Medicine Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics)A doctoral candidate in the Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics, Tim Corson is researching retinoblastoma, a cancer of the developing retina.He has identified a protein abundant in retinoblastoma and several other cancers, and as part of his doctoral studies plans to determine if that protein is a novel target for anticancer therapy.Teaching and mentoring are important roles for Corson; he taught "Writing for Scientists," and continues to work as a laboratory demonstrator and writing instructor.Policy-making and administration are also integral to his academic life.Corson served on the Alumni of Victoria College Executive, the School of Graduate Studies Council and the Task Force on Graduate Education.
