The "seed" for this project was planted about a year-and-a-half ago when Officer Bill Corson, founder of Outdoor Adventures, and some of his staff attended an event in which Unscripted, 6th Day's outreach wing, performed one of their hip-hop pieces. "We went to the event to meet with the Director of another youth organization, to talk about partnering with him, when this hip-hop dance group was introduced. After their performance, the place went "nuts". We'd been looking for someone of the hip-hop culture to come along side us and work with our kids at the Center, and when I saw (6th Day Unscripted) I said this is the group!"
Outdoor Adventures has and is very active in the Eastside's at-risk youth. Led by Bill Corson, Outdoor Adventures has helped in the building of the tagging walls to help the youth express itself legally. OA has helped in the formation of teen centers; teen feeds for the Eastside homeless youth; and has created numerous programs for the at-risk youth like soccer programs and after school programs.
