Adrian CorsinFinance
Adrian Corsin is a 19-year-old student from Maple, Ontario.Since an early age, Adrian has always expressed interests in his community and has been eager to develop and craft his talents both in and out of the classroom.
He attended high school at St. Joan of Arc CHS in Maple where he excelled in both academics and his extracurricular involvement.Besides being editor of the school yearbook, member of prom committee, fashion show model/set designer, member of the Food and Drug Awareness Committee, and the Chaplaincy Team, he was St. Joan of Arc's Representative at The Forum for Young Canadians (2001) and at the HOBY Youth Conference (2002).Adrian was also one of a select few students who established a Chaplaincy Council (2003), the first of its kind among all York Region District Catholic Schools.The Chaplaincy Council, which focused on facilitating the link between the chaplains and the Chaplaincy Team, was a visible example of a youth-run and motivated initiative, whereby council members hosted Chaplaincy Team meetings and developed various leadership and character dialogues/activities.That same year, Adrian was the first member of St. Joan of Arc's Smart Ask Team.
Throughout high school Adrian displayed a strong committee to academics and garnered several awards, including: Academic Mathematic Award (2000), Academic French Language Award (2001), University English Award (2003), University Physics Award (2003), Governor General's Award (2004), and York University Entrance Scholarship (2004).
Currently, Adrian is attending York's University's Schulich School of Business, working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration.Outside of school, he works at Fortino's Supermarkets Ltd as a cashier and Canadian Premier Life Insurance as an Insurance Specialist.His hobbies include drawing, skiing, and anything near or around a mall.
His involvement in the Youth Cabinet has stemmed from the City of Vaughan's Youth Advisory Council, dating back to 2001.He hopes the Cabinet will act to change the face of youth in Vaughan and provide youth with the tools to break stereotypes and become positive agents of change.
