   Tim Corrigan -- whose father, Robert W. Corrigan, was CalArts' first president -- established the firm Landmark Restoration in 1996 following an extensive career in advertising and communications.

   Before starting Landmark Restoration, Corrigan had filled numerous executive roles at Bates Worldwide, one of the world's largest advertising and communications companies. From 1993 through 1996, he was president of Bates International and executive director of its Worldwide Client Services unit. In this capacity, Corrigan oversaw multinational communications programs for Coca-Cola, Mars, Estee Lauder, IBM and British American Tobacco. Earlier, he had headed Bates' European operations and directed the entertainment and finance sectors of Bates USA.
   
   Corrigan serves on the board of the AIDS Research Alliance of America and is a member of the Los Angeles County Museum Decorative Arts Council and the Los Angeles Music Center Fraternity of Friends.

   Upon completion, the Business Case was forwarded up through management channels to IBM Corporate Headquarters where it was approved by Bob Corrigan, then president of IBM's PC Company. The significance of this step was illustrated by IBM's approval of a $15 million capital equipment expenditure for the project during a period when most corporate expenditures were being severely restricted.
