According to Lee Corrigan, tournament director for the State Farm Senior Classic, the past two years running the Toyota Invitational at Cattail Creek Country Club were merely a prelude to hosting one of the largest events Howard County has ever seen.
The State Farm Senior Classic, featuring 78 of the top senior players and a purse of $ 1.25 million, will take place at Hobbit's Glen Golf Course in Columbia from July 3-5, with preliminary events beginning earlier that week. Proceeds from the tournament will be distributed to several area nonprofit organizations, the primary beneficiary being Maryland Special Olympics.
