Emma Corrigan, a twenty-five-year-old marketing assistant, has a few secrets: she is a size twelve and not eight as she told her boyfriend Connor, whom she secretly calls Ken (as in Ken and Barbie) and whom she is not in love with. She is not comfortable wearing G strings, and she feeds her mean colleague Artemis's plant orange juice ... among many other things. Flying back from her first business trip in Glasgow, Emma believes she is about to die: the plane is caught in huge turbulences, and she confides all her secrets to the man in the next seat ...
Safely back in London, Emma is so surprised by Connor asking her to move in with her that she accepts. A bigger surprise awaits her at work on the following day: the man who founded Panther, the company she works for, is visiting for the week. It turns out he is the man who was next to her on the plane, the receiver of her innermost secrets. And it also turns out Emma is not the only one to have secrets ... -

"Can You Keep a Secret" is centered around a normal, 20-something woman, Emma Corrigan, who works as a marketing assistant for Panther Cola. She is given the opportunity to prove herself and possibly be promoted to marketing executive if she can close a business deal in Glasgow.
Unfortunately, things don't go as smoothly as she had hoped, and she returns home with no hopes of a promotion. While waiting for her flight to board, Emma, who is afraid of flying, drowns her sorrows and her fears at the airport bar.
When the plane taking her back to London experiences turbulence, she is certain she is about to die. In her terrified, slightly inebriated state she spills her most personal secrets to the handsome American man sitting next to her. She does not really weigh 118 pounds like she told her boyfriend, her G-string hurts, she sneaks away from work to meet her friend at Starbucks, she waters a co-worker's plant with orange juice instead of water, she is the one who jams the copier.
At work the next morning she learns that Jack Harper, the CEO of the company she works for, is visiting. To her horror Jack turns out to be the mystery man from the plane. He knows everything about her including her hatred for her job. The humor flies as Emma does her best to avoid Jack, while Jack tries his hardest to spend time with Emma.
