The recent resignation of Yellowhead County's chief administrative officer Don Corrigan, was more of a disappointment than a surprise to the county's deputy reeve.
    ...
Corrigan resigned from his CAO position on May 13, but it does not take effect until June 30, leaving him enough time to pursue other opportunities."I can't elaborate much on my future plans, I can just say they are in the works," Corrigan said.
    ...
Prior to coming to the county in September of 2001, Corrigan was working overseas as an engineering project manager and came to council in hopes of serving the community. And he did.
    ...
Corrigan will miss working with the county, especially staff members."I will really miss working with the staff. They're a wonderful bunch -- a great group of professionals," Corrigan said.

    CRITICAL APPLICATION RATES

Firefighters know that they must flow water at the critical application rate in order to extinguish a fire. This is illustrated in the old firehouse saying which states "that you need big water for big fires and little water for little fires".
