Cara Correnti joined the Pronews 7 team in September 2002 as our Weekend Anchor. Now, Cara anchors the 5, 6, and 10 PM newscasts along with Jay Ricci.

A native New Englander, Cara made the cross-country trek from Massachusetts to the Panhandle after working for 2 years as an Anchor/Reporter for ATT 3 News, a cable station just north of Boston. Cara is an alumnus of Merrimack College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She says she loves this job because of the people she meets, and says Amarilloans are some of the friendliest people she's met! Cara also enjoys being involved in the community - she volunteers her time as a Crisis Advocate for Family Support Services of Amarillo. She also volunteers her time for the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life". When she's not busy, Cara enjoys reading and spending time with her cat, appropriately named "Kitty"!
