Jennifer Correia, Architectural Conservator
Jennifer earned her Advanced Certificate in Conservation after completing her MS from the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate Program in Historic Preservation in The School of Design. She wrote her thesis Treatment Evaluation for the Micritic Limestone at Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo San Antonio, Texas, and was able to continue working on the project as a Kress Fellow to manage and complete the treatment implementation of the Sacristy "Rose" Window at Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo. As part of her academic work, Jennifer spent two summers with the Historic Preservation Program's Architectural Conservation Laboratory and performed condition surveys at the Merchants' Exchange Building in Philadelphia, PA and cavates at Bandelier National Monument in Los Alamos, NM; she also surveyed several historic cemeteries and implemented pilot conservation treatments for grave markers in the Township of Southampton, NY. Before Jennifer moved to Philadelphia to attend graduate school, she completed her BSM from Tulane University with a minor in studio art (painting), and worked in marketing and administration at New Orleans Auction Gallery, Inc. in New Orleans, Louisiana. -
