   Cheryle Correa, born in Plymouth, Massachusetts, now residing in Nashville, TN has been writing songs and performing for several years. Cheryle wrote five songs on her first album with "New England Gospel". This and other vocal work prompted Cheryle's membership with The Recording Academy and affiliation with BMI as a songwriter. Since then Cheryle has worked as lead vocalist with many cover bands. Cheryle's strong, warm, rich vocals allow her to sing everything from rock to country. In 2002 she released her first original album of country songs titled "I Keep Dreaming". Two tracks were recognized with "Honorable Mention" awards from the Nashville Symposium and Billboard Magazine for her songwriting. A voting member of The Recording Academy, Cheryle participated in the "Grammy in the Schools" project. Cheryle has appeared on "Charlie Daniels Round-Up" and she opened for Kathy Mattea. This year "Champagne Picnic" and "September 11th Tribute" were first round Grammy nominations for "Best Female Vocal Performance" and "Best Country Song", respectively. Cheryle is a BMI songwriting affiliate and a member of The Nashville Songwriters Association. Now signed with usatalents.com by Abbi Gail of J&G Promotions, Cheryle has never given up on chasing the dream saying, "this is much more than a dream, but an absolute passion: this is who I am and what I am all about".
