    Marc Corrado, one of six of the Rockville-based biotech company's management team, is leaving Dec. 17 to "accept other employment," according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

    Corrado, who joined Entremed in March 2005, worked on attracting new business to help the company cut its losses.

    The company said Nov. 6 it lost $3 million, or 4 cents per share, compared to $3.5 million, or 5 cents per share in the same quarter a year ago.Third-quarter revenue was $3.52 million compared with $3.02 million in the year-ago quarter.

    Entremed also said it has enough money in the bank to fund operations into 2009.

    Corrado has not been replaced yet, according to the company's spokeswoman Ginny Dunn.

    Before joining Entremed, Corrado oversaw business development, global marketing and mergers and acquisitions for Aventis in Bridgewater, N.J., and Rhône-Poulenc Rorer in Paris before it merged with Hoechst in 2000.

    In 1995, Marc joined Rhône-Poulenc Rorer in Paris, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility in Worldwide Business Development and Licensing.Specifically, he was responsible for identifying, evaluating and negotiating licensing opportunities, and for ensuring the success of co-development and co-commercialization collaborations.

    In 2000, following the merger between Rhône-Poulenc and Hoechst, Marc moved to Bridgewater as Director, Global Business Development at Aventis.While at Aventis, he became Director, Oncology New Product Commercialization within Global Marketing, and most recently Senior Director, Mergers & Acquisitions within Corporate Development.
