EGL, Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS : EAGL), today announced that Geoffrey L. Corpe, a 19-year veteran of the transportation and logistics industry, has joined the Company as the Executive Vice President for Europe with responsibility for all European international business development activities.
The appointment follows a recently announced strategy to accelerate Eagle's global expansion efforts by adding seasoned international airfreight employees worldwide. Corpe has extensive experience in global development and program management, with expertise in the development of international products, customer support programs, brand messaging, acquisitions and recruitment.
Corpe joined Eagle from international freight forwarder MSAS, where he most recently served as Global Development Director. He previously served at MSAS as Regional Chief Executive for Europe and the Regional Director for the U.K., Far East and South Pacific. Prior to joining MSAS, Corpe served as Managing Director of Meadows Airfreight.
