Michael Coronado, president of WestCor Companies, founded the firm in 1989, responding to the residential boom in the Las Vegas area. He applied his vision and extensive construction experience to grow the company into multi divisions-stage framing, crew framing, concrete, glazing and masonry-to meet the demands of the tri-state area: Nevada, California and Arizona.
Hailing from Glendale, Arizona, Mike entered the industry right out of high school, beginning as a lumber salesperson and transitioning to an estimator. In 1987, he accepted an offer to launch a new division in the Las Vegas area for his then-employer.
After partnering with Jim Hammer in 1989 to establish WestCor, Mike later took over the helm in 1993, building the largest privately held framing company in Nevada.
