Steve is a graduate of politics, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990.Steve trained in an audit practice and progressed to Group Audit Manager responsible for a breadth of assignments, including audits of plc's and manufacturing and service sector companies.
He also has a strong background in the audit of bodies linked to the Lloyd's insurance market, including syndicates, brokers and agents.
Steve has assisted the SFO on several separate enquiries involving fraudulent trading, theft, share ramping and conspiracy to defraud regulatory authorities.Work included interviewing defendants and witnesses, close liaison with Officers of the Metropolitan and City of London Police forces, and preparation of witness statements for presentation of accounting evidence to the Court.
Steve has also been appointed as an inspector by the DTI in respect of Companies Act and Financial Services Act (Insider Dealing) enquiries.Work on the latter enquiry included holding formal hearings of witnesses, interviewing alleged offenders, working closely with a barrister, and reporting finding to the DTI.

Steve became involved in forensic work shortly after qualifying and has gained a wide range of experience in both civil and criminal matters.
His breadth of work across the criminal investigation and prosecution sector has involved both formal and informal reporting in several jurisdictions.
