   Ms. Diane Cornman-Levy founded Journey Home, with a firm commitment to break the cycle of poverty, through releasing the potential that lies within all individuals. Values of integrity, wisdom, teamwork, and compassion lay the foundation for her personal and professional actions.
   
   Service and education are two passions that were strengthened in college at Brown University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and during school at Northwestern University where she received a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. During her years of college and postgraduate training she was involved in community service including coordinating an outreach program for people with chronic mental illness, tutoring children in low-income neighborhoods, and providing physical therapy to individuals who are homeless. She now has over 20 years of experience working with community-based organizations serving vulnerable populations.
   
   For the past 16 years, Ms Diane Cornman-Levy has held various professional positions including physical therapist, manager, teacher, healthcare consultant, community activist, and now Executive Director of Journey Home. In each of these positions, she has challenged the status quo through improving existing programs and methods or developing new programs. Her efforts have resulted in various accomplishments including the development of a student-run physical therapy clinic for homeless adults; the creation of two innovative community health-training programs for health professions students; and the creation of a new community center in Philadelphia.
   
   Ms. Cornman-Levy's diverse professional experiences have resulted in her serving on several advisory boards including the University of Illinois at Chicago Urban Health Training Advisory Board, Widener University's Vulnerable Populations Advisory Board, and Philadelphia Health Management Corporation (PHMC) Healthcare for the Homeless Advisory Board. In 1998, she was the recipient of the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association's Humanitarian Award. For her contributions to the field of Physical Therapy, she received the Founders Award from the Department of Physical Therapy, Thomas Jefferson University, in 2001 and received the Dervitz Award from the Department of Physical Therapy, Temple University, in 2003.
   
   All of these experiences over the last 20 years have provided Ms. Cornman-Levy with expertise in community health, program development, teaching methodologies, educational theories, and the function/structure of non-profit organizations giving Journey Home its direction, diverse capabilities, and advantage.
