   Richmond, Virginia, December 1, 1998 - AMF Bowling, Inc. (NYSE: PIN) has announced the appointment of Al Cornish to the position of Vice President, Human Resources, effective immediately.
   
   "Al provides AMF with a much-needed expertise in the areas of employee and labor relations, as well as training and management development," stated Steve Hare, AMF Executive Vice President and acting Chief Executive Officer.

   Prior to joining AMF, Cornish was Vice President, Human Resources with Central Parking Corporation in Nashville. He has also served in key human resources management positions with Roy Rogers Restaurants (division of Hardee's Food System), Automatic Data Processing, Inc. and the Southland Corporation.
