   Craig Cornichuck, VP of Business and Economic Development Craig works with the AEDC staff to accomplish the organization's priority strategies aimed at growing and diversifying the Anchorage economy. He assists Anchorage and Alaskan companies promoting their business growth and/or expansion outside of Alaska. He markets Anchorage to outside companies in targeted industries promoting investment and promoting the city as a great place to live, work and do business.
   
   Craig is a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Geography. He brings to AEDC over 7 years of logistics and global experience as a former intelligence officer and a team lead in supply chain at IBM. Craig was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts.    Craig Cornichuck is Vice President of Business & Economic Development at the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation, which facilitates diversified economic growth. A Boston native, Craig graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy as an intelligence officer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. He spent time overseas supporting peacekeeping operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina and air operations in Kosovo and Serbia. After leaving active military service, Craig became a team leader at IBM's main semi-conductor plant in Vermont where he provided analysis of microchip supply and demand and advised executives on manufacturing decisions. He and his family returned to Anchorage in 2004, where he worked as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. Craig serves on the Board of Directors of Alaska InvestNet, an organization linking entrepreneurs with private capital and was formerly on the Board of Anchorage Youth Court, the city's alternative juvenile justice system. He lives in Anchorage with his wife and three boys and is active in adult and youth sports.
