   RENO, Nev. -- John Winton Cornett, 71, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, in the Veterans Hospital in Reno.
   
   Born in Bridle Creek, Va., he was a son of the late Hurley and Virginia Vaught Cornett, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
