  PASTOR CARLTON COOPER
  
  Bethel Baptist Church has been pastored by Carlton Cooper since November 1981. Pastor Cooper came to Bethel Baptist Church from the Temple Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia where he had served as Associate Pastor for three and half years. Pastor Cooper is a 1978 graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO with a Bachlor of Arts degree in Theology; Pastor Cooper also holds a Master of Theology degree and a Doctor of Ministries Degree in Pastoral Studies from Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, Georgia. Pastor Cooper has been elected six times as State Chairman of the Georgia Baptist Bible Fellowship. Pastor Cooper and his wife, Lynette, have three children and five grandchildren.
