Cook was selected out of more than 800 members in the York County Council.

Cook has served for several years as a Maine Association of Realtors® state director and numerous terms as York County Council trustee.He currently serves on the Maine Association of Realtors® Public Policy Committee and has been an agent with Coldwell Banker for over 21 years.Cook is also a member of the National Association of Realtors® and the Greater York Region Chamber of Commerce, in which he had previously served as president.

Cook resides in York with his wife, Kathie.
