Club secretary/treasurer Norm Cook said everyone is invited to participate in the prestigious event, informally known as the 'Pup Cup'.Named in memory of the former Diggers club member, the Pup Cup is a 4 x 50 metre team relay, open to anyone who can put together a four person team with nominated time for the swim.Sunday's events start at 9am.The Pup Cup goes to the winner of the relay event, but the day also features 30 metre and 50 metre events for both seniors and juniors.Cook said younger and older swimmers may swim side by side but prizes will be awarded for first, second and third in junior and senior grades over each distance.The starter's gun will fire in the 30 metre swim at 9.30am but Cook requested those intending to join in the fun day to register at 9am with club members Ian Maccallum and Viv Russell.

Cook said one of the items for auction is a St George Dragons guernsey autographed by players.He expected the 4 x 50m relay to start at approximately 11am.
