That's no small or inexpensive feat, Cook said.
"Keeping track of this is going to be impossible," he said, dreaming up nightmare scenarios about partial shipments and multiple taxes.
It will take Akron Bearing as long as a month and cost anywhere from $4,000 to $20,000 to update its accounting system.And that's getting off easy, Cook said.

Cook said that doesn't change much.He's still facing thousands of dollars in software upgrades.
He doesn't understand why Ohio won't just keep the current, origin-based tax system.It's simpler.

And Cook is convinced that's bad news for the region's tax base.
"Ohio counties with big businesses will be losing tax dollars big time," he said.
