John Constantine

John Constantine has been working in the medium of watercolor since 1954.

He is a past president of the Northwest Watercolor Society and is represented in the permanent collection of the Seattle Art Museum. He earned an MFA Degree from the University of Washington in 1959.

John has been an art instructor for 40 years in high schools and community colleges.

Retired since 1993, he is a frequent traveler where he uses his favorite medium of watercolor in travel sketches and larger works in the depiction of landscapes, as well as other subjects.

Instructor John Constantine

John Constantine will teach techniques for beginners who want to explore the world of Water Color.Advanced students who would like to freshen up their skills are also welcome.

Students will need to call the ArtsWest office ( 206-938-0963 ) one week prior to class time to get a supply list.Students are responsible for their own supplies.

John Constantine received his Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Washington and since then has taught junior , senior and college level classes for over 29 years.His work has been seen in galleries and exhibitions such as State Capitol Museum , Seattle Art Museum , Wossner Gallery and the Boston Art Show.Private collectors from Paris , New York , Washington DC and Seattle have purchased his work for their homes and offices.Mr. Constantine work will be in the Runnings Family Gallery located at ArtsWest during the month of September.
