Bill Conlon is Senior Vice President and Chief Engineer for Doosan Hydro Technology, Inc.Mr. Conlon has been a consulting engineer involved in membrane technology for over 35 years.He is a graduate of Florida International University, School of Technology with Post Graduate studies in Civil Engineering at the same institution.He is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and a registered Professional Engineer in Florida and Arizona.His forte is reverse osmosis, membrane processes and advanced water treatment.Mr. Conlon has pioneered the application of reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, and system components to municipal water treatment and is an internationally recognized specialist in the design and operation of membrane process and advanced water treatment systems.Bill is the author and co-author of more than 60 technical papers on the subject of water/wastewater treatment.He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Water Works Association, the Water Environment Federation and the International Desalting Association.

William J. Conlon, P.E., BCEE, F.ASCE, is a consulting engineer with more than 35 years in the membrane field. Conlon has been a pioneer in the application of reverse-osmosis, ultrafiltration, and membrane system components to municipal water treatment. The author or coauthor of more than 60 technical papers on the treatment of water and wastewater, he is currently the technical manager and practice area leader for desalination in the Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department, in Florida. He blazed new trails in his field by serving as the technical manager on the first desalination plant in Latin America as well as by acting as the project engineer on the first reverse-osmosis plant in the world, which was built in Florida. He has been an active member of asce since 1992 and has served on numerous committees for other groups, among them a standards body within the American Water Works Association. Conlon has also held an appointment to the team within the Government Accountability Office dealing with natural resources and the environment.
