   Mr. Collins began his Investment career while graduating from the University of Denver with a degree in Business Administration. He moved to New York after forming his own Institutional Research firm which focused on the extractive industry and technology.He spent 12 years in Wall Street. Tim then founded a mining and oil exploration firm which took him eventually to Reno, Nevada and a second career. Tim joined Van kasper in 1994 after returning to the investment business, spending two years with a small institutional research boutique in San Francisco. Tim has five children three sons, one in Institutional Equity sales with Schroders in Los Angeles, a son in New York who founded a Investment Relations firm, Jaffoni & Collins and a son in Colorado who is a computer technician for EDS. Two teen age daughters attend high school in San Francisco. Tim's hobbies include fly fishing in the Bay in his small boat, Golf, Skiing, mountain biking as well as attending to his extensive family with his wife, Katherine. Tim is member of the SF Bond Club, University Club of SF and the Board of Directors of the SF Bay Keeper.
