Terry Collins joined the firm in 1957 after initial industrial experience. He was a partner of the firm from 1966 to 1998. Terry has been involved in many aspects of the development of intellectual property law in Australia throughout his career.
Terry was a member of the government appointed Working Party that undertook a review of the patent legislation and guided implementation of the Patents Act 1990 and Regulations. He is a former member of the government sponsored Intellectual Property Advisory Committee, and was an Adviser to the Law Reform Commission of Australia in connection with the review of Designs legislation.
Terrence is the author of several papers on intellectual property including "Process for obtaining and maintaining a patent, Laws of Australia" - Chapter 4, Part 23.4, Law Book Company. -
