   About Steven Collins
   
   Steven D. Collins has been an instructor of Gallaudet University in the Department of Interpretation since 1996. He is a graduate of Gallaudet University's Interpreter Training Program and has extensive expertise as an interpreter and interpreter-coordinator for Deaf-Blind individuals. Dr. Collins is actively involved in presenting training workshops across the country and served as an advisory board member for the National RSA Deaf-Blind Training Grant. He earned his doctoral degree at Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Collins has been a Fulbright scholar and studied the field of interpreting in the Deaf-Blind population in Italy.
