Sandra Collins, raised in Oneonta, began attending Hartwick College soccer matches in the late 1950s with her Australian father and became a lifelong devotee of the game. After receiving a BA in Political Science from Ursinus College, Collins has had several careers including banker, radio station Office Manager and Advertising/PR Director for her family's business, Medical Coaches, Inc., an international company manufacturing specialized mobile vehicles. Collins is, at present, a Travel Consultant with Time To Travel in Oneonta.
Volunteerism has been a large part of her life with ten years service on the Schenevus Board of Education. She has served as a high school assistant and youth soccer coach. A highlight of her "pre-Title IX" life was beginning to play in goal at the age of 42 in the Oneonta City League, winning the League title three of four years, and playing on the field with both of her daughters.
Collins is an ardent supporter of local soccer (at the scholastic and collegiate level), a true-blue Everton fan, and a believer in the National Soccer Hall of Fame's future as the "heart of soccer" in the United States. -
