   Collins has been selected Safety Professional of the Year Rod Collins, Safety Director of J.W. Koehler Electric, Inc., has been named 2000 Safety Professional of the Year by the Quad Cities Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers. Collins has a degree in Electrical Technology. He is a certified instructor of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Construction Safety courses. He has been with J.W. Koehler Electric, Inc. since 1991 and a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers since 1992. Story Construction receives national honors Story Construction Co. was recognized by the Design-Build Institute of America with the 2000 National Design-Build Award for a project in Lawrence, Kan., that was completed for Sauer-Danfoss Inc.    The effort is led by Safety Director, Rod Collins, with his personal and full-time involvement. Weekly job site safety talks and hazard analysis are provided on all projects.
   
   Safety training classes are offered directly through Koehler Electric and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Rod Collins is a certified instructor of the OSHA 10-hour safety course which he teaches in cooperation with the IBEW to all journeymen and apprentices. Rod also received the Safety Professional of the Year award in 2000 from the Society of Safety Engineers, Quad City Chapter.
