   Patrick B. Collins received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 1986 where he majored in a business management. Patrick received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1989. During law school Patrick was involved in several activities, such as the Honor Court, Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, and others. Patrick entered the private practice of law in 1989. He has handled litigation matters ever since, and has had thousands of legal matters entrusted to him. Patrick was a founding member of the firm Collins, Davidson & Jensen, LLC in Mobile. In the year 2001, Patrick opened his law office in Baldwin County, Alabama, where he has long resided. Patrick represents or has represented clients in numerous Alabama counties, especially southwest Alabama, commonly referred to by locals as "Lower Alabama". Patrick has handled cases in various courts, including in the Alabama counties of Baldwin, Mobile, Clarke, Choctaw, Coffee, Escambia, Greene, Jefferson, Montgomery, Russell, Tuscaloosa, and Washington, as well as federal courts (Southern District of Alabama, Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Supreme Court), and Alabama appellate courts (Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and the Alabama Supreme Court.
   
   In addition to his experience in civil litigation, Patrick has extensive experience in mediation. He has represented clients as attorney for a party at mediation conferences, and has been appointed mediator by the Circuit Courts of both Mobile and Baldwin Counties. Through mediation, trial courts are able to efficiently reduce its case-load, and the mediator's purpose is to allow the adverse parties a common forum to evaluate the case and attempt to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution.
   
   Patrick is married and has two children, ages 6 and 5. He is a member of St. Paul's Church, Daphne. He is or has been involved in various civic activities, including the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce, Village Point Foundation, Daphne Utilities, Daphne City Council, North Baldwin Utility Coordinating Committee, Downtown Redevelopment Authority, and privately contributes time or funds to other worthy organizations.
