   Nicole joined ABC7/WJLA-TV & NewsChannel 8 in February 2007 as a political reporter who also contributes daily video stories to Politico.com.
   
   She worked at the ABC affiliate in Des Moines, IA where she specialized in politics while working as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor. Nicole also worked for the CBS affiliate in Rock Island, IL where she covered Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) at the Rock Island Arsenal.
   
   Before becoming a reporter, Nicole worked for Fox News Channel in Washington, DC. She was Tony Snow's assistant before moving to the newsroom to produce. She traveled with the political production team and, from the Iowa Caucuses to President Bush's second inaugural, she worked on every major event of the 2004 election.
   
   Nicole also interned in CNN's San Francisco bureau and at the National Journalism Center in DC.
   
   Nicole was born and raised in Orange County, California. She earned a degree in communication with an emphasis in print journalism from Santa Clara University where she worked as the news editor and wrote extensively for the school's weekly, The Santa Clara.
