Calgary, Alberta (December 3, 2007) - Darrell Brown, President and CEO of Mooncor Oil & Gas Corp. (the "Corporation") is pleased to announce the hiring of Michael Collins, P. Geol., B.Sc. (Geology), M.Sc. and B.Sc. Hons. (Zoology) as the Corporation's Vice-President-Exploration.

Mr. Collins is a Professional Geologist with more than 22 years of oil and gas experience, primarily involved in exploration and development in Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and northern Canada, and associated with the discovery of several million barrels of recoverable oil and over 250 BCF of natural gas in both clastic and carbonate reservoirs.Mr. Collins' technical expertise and experience will complement and enhance Mooncor's core area projects.Mooncor's management is also quite excited about the potential of the oil exploration and exploitation projects that Mr. Collins is presenting to the Corporation.
Mr. Collins most recently worked at Pioneer Canada Inc., where he drilled and re-completed over 120 wells in projects similar in scope to Mooncor's Lonestar prospect.He also mapped Pioneer's Viking and coalbed methane ("CBM") plays and initiated their shale gas investigations on several prospects.This experience will strengthen the Corporation's technical expertise for both its Crossfield CBM/Channel Sands exploitation and potential Viking/Devonian exploration play at Crossfield and its shale gas exploration at Whitehill Lakes.Further experience in the CBM sector was obtained during his tenure at Anderson Exploration Ltd., where he initiated the Anderson CBM team and was a participant in their unconventional gas team.
Mr. Collins also spent time at Lightning Energy Ltd., Canadian Occidental Petroleum Ltd., Crestar Energy Ltd. and Dome Petroleum Limited.At Dome, he was involved in the discovery of over five million barrels of heavy and conventional crude oil, further strengthening Mooncor's expertise on both its heavy oil prospect at Whitehill Lakes and light oil plays at Woodbend and Lonestar.
