Mattie Collins

Mattie Collins - mattie@gracerichmond.org Mattie (Linda) Collins has been serving as our Children's Director for many years.She loves the opportunity to be part of the process of helping kids get acquainted with Jesus and learn about His plan for their lives.A Richmond native, Mattie graduated from Longwood College in the 70s and then entered the workforce with Travelers Insurance.It was during this time that she recognized her giftedness as a teacher (training new employees) which still glorifies God and blesses us.

In 1979 at Grove Avenue Baptist Church she met a single guy from North Carolina named Tom who was seeking to follow Christ.

A few years later, Tom and Mattie were married and have 3 lovely daughters; Anna, Mary, and Sarah, who they have prayed for, directed, and pointed to the Lord.

You might also like to know that Mattie gets excited about chocolate, good books, praying and teaching with Tom, daughter "talk" time, bike riding, yard work, and seeing new places.
