Matthew Collins, SSCC member and director of the conference we were attending, helped us find some marvelous but inexpensive places. A couple of times we joined Matt and his wife Karen for dinner. The combination of beautiful weather, wonderful wine, marvelous food and terrific conversation was worth the price of the trip.
We returned last Thursday. On Saturday night we took my mom to dinner (she was in town to watch our boys while we were in Italy). We went to a nice restaurant here in Atlanta. The food was remarkable, but the pace was too fast!

Long points out that "Matthew tells us that Judas repented. He went to the temple and confessed his sin to those who had hired him, but he found no forgiveness there. So, throwing down the thirty pieces of silver, Judas, tragic Judas, feeling as though he had not a friend in the world and unable to bear his sin, took his own life. But Judas did have a friend, a friend who loved him to the end, and even though Judas could not bear his own sin, his friend bore it for him on the cross."
The old song is right, "what a friend we have in Jesus." Peace to you,
