   By far the largest national development firm with plans to build in Milwaukee's Park East development, Gatehouse Capital was founded in 1995 by Marty Collins, who is the company's president and chief executive officer.
   
   Prior to venturing off on his own through Gatehouse Capital, Collins was a partner in a Trammell Crow hospitality affiliated company.He was also chief operating officer of Hampstead Group and Americana Hotels Corp.
   
   Collins' range of hotel developments with Gatehouse Capital extends from the $30 million W Silicon Valley to the $600 million W Hollywood Hotel and Residences.In Milwaukee, Gatehouse is developing a $145 million Kimpton Palomar Hotel with 184 rooms, 70 condominiums and more than 20,000 square of retail.
   
   Collins was in Milwaukee this week to open a sales model for the Palomar condos and agreed to be interviewed by The Business Journal.
