Senate confirms Collins for U.S.Marshal post

WASHINGTON-The Western District of Texas will soon have a new U.S.Marshal, as the U.S. Senate voted unanimously to confirm the nomination of LaFayette Collins, 55, for that position.The Senate vote late Monday evening, along with a pending signature from the President, clears the way for Collins to begin his duties soon.
