   "The 13.5 percent growth in the amount of square footage on the market is pretty impressive," said Kyle Collins, senior vice president of Colonial Properties Trust.Cummings, the nation's second-largest research park, is "the juggernaut area.It's where the activity is."

   Kyle Collins joined Colonial Properties in 1986 as a leasing representative for the Montgomery, Alabama portfolio responsible for leasing approximately 500,000 square feet.After three successful years where he ranked among the top producers in the Company, Kyle was named Vice President of Leasing and Development in 1989.In May of 1998, Kyle relocated to Huntsville, Alabama where he accepted the position of Market Officer for both the Huntsville and Montgomery portfolio, responsible for the leasing and management of approximately 1,850,000 square feet, supervision of 27 employees and a budget of over $25,000,000.In 2000, Kyle received the highest award bestowed on a Colonial Properties Trust employee, the E.L. Lowder Award, given annually to the most valuable employee of the past year.In 2004, Kyle was promoted to Senior Vice President responsible for the entire state of Alabama, as well as having the responsibility for growth and development in cities throughout the South.During his tenure with Colonial, Kyle has been involved in over 1,000 commercial lease, purchase and sales transactions with a cumulative gross volume of over $175,000,000.
   
   Kyle is a 1986 graduate of Auburn University where he was a three-year letterman for the varsity football team.While at Auburn, he served as President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, President of the A-Club, a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honorary scholastic society, recipient of the Bill Streit Award and was named to the Academic All-SEC team in 1984 and 1985.In 1994, Kyle received his Juris Doctorate from Jones School of Law and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in the spring of 1995.He is past Commissioner for the Governor's Commission on Physical Fitness, a past Director on the State Board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, past Chairman of the Board of the Chi-Ho Children's Home in Huntsville.He currently is member of the Huntsville Broadway Theatre Board and serves on the Advisory Board for The Bank of Huntsville.Additionally, Kyle continues to be involved in numerous local charities and is also a motivational and inspirational speaker.
