Kent Collins, a principal with Centro Development, described the target users as the "high-end, urban-infill renter"- a segment that includes young urban professionals who wish to live close to work.
"You\'re literally in the center of the city," Collins said.
The space will come at a cost: units would rent for some $1.15 a square foot. ... Construction on retail buildings as part of the first phase of the ABQ Uptown "lifestyle center" began in April 2005.The overall project includes a mix of retail, residential and office space.
The phase two plan is to go before the Environmental Planning Commission on Feb. 16.Should things move forward, construction on the more than $15 million second phase could start by late summer, Collins said.
