   Ben Collins brings more than 12 years of experience in programming and systems engineering from a variety of Open Source, Security, and Embedded Systems industries to the SwissDisk executive team. He leads a number of Open Source projects relating specifically to the Linux community, including the Linux kernel IEEE-1394/Firewire development. He formerly held the elected position of project leader for the Debian GNU/Linux operating system, which is popularized due to it's wide support base for various chip architectures and direct support by such companies as IBM, Sun Microsystems, and Hewlett Packard. During his term as DPL, he specialized in the UltraSPARC port and provided guidance and leadership for the continued structure of the Debian movement by championing proactive security and testing policies. Additionally, Ben has consulted and produced embedded products for both Watchguard Technologies by providing kernel and driver development for their FireBox® integrated security hardware and DEQO Solutions where he architected and engineered a suite of digital HD-PVR (High Definition Personal Video Recorder) applications using custom built hardware, software and networking protocols for their proprietary use.

   Ken Collins has an extensive 12-year background in integrated marketing and communications, which includes strategies to advertise, secure, and maximize on geographical and vertical markets in the United States and overseas. He brings a unique combination of creative advertising with a wealth of hands-on IT knowledge to the SwissDisk team. Prior to joining, he served as Technical Director for Hampton Roads' premier interactive advertising agency, Stratum New Media, where he provided leadership for both their Creative and IT departments. His responsibilities included identifying customer requirements, making build-versus-buy decisions, maximize technology partnerships, and developing products and ideas to capitalize on existing and emerging market opportunities. His work incorporated proven marketing results that won several key awards for their national clients including an AAF 3rd District Addy. Ken has also served as the lead consultant for InfiNet's product development department, a division of Gannett Media Technologies International, wherein he engineered and developed their Macintosh CD-ROM Internet Software distribution method for all their affiliate newspapers and subscribers throughout the country.

   Kenneth T. Collins, Technical Director Ken followed publishing into the World Wide Web. In 1999, after years of desktop publishing, brochure work, and Photoshop tweaking, Ken joined Stratum. After a short time as Online Producer, Ken managed his first large-scale development project and was hooked on the potential of taking off-line marketing and connecting it online with the web and e-mail campaigns. It was this same year that Stratum started on its four-year relationship with The California Olive Industry (COI). As Technical Director, Ken has engineered the ever-increasing results of the on-line marketing for COI. He is also responsible for maintaining many of Stratum's technical systems and e-commerce systems for our customers.
