Peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, February 19th, 2003, in his 87th year, Kenneth Fawcett Collins.Happily married for 61 years to his beloved wife, Evalyn (nee Roblin).

A Normandy veteran, Ken spent more than 26 years in various staff and regimental appointments in the Canadian Army.He was a long-time devoted and active member of Rideau Park United Church, former President of the Ontario Genealogical Society (OGS) and a Past President of the Ottawa Branch, OGS.He worked tirelessly in the Scouting movement for 36 years and was a Vice-President of the National Capital Region Scouts.At the Family's request there will be no visitation.A Celebration of Ken's life will be held at Rideau Park United Church (2203 Alta Vista Drive) at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 22nd, 2003.A Reception will follow.In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
