   "I loved it, but I didn't have a clue as to what I was doing," 2001 graduate Josh Collins said. "I was a terrible tackler and sometimes I would just throw my body in front of the guy hoping he'd fall. Some of us had played pee-wee or sandlot ball, but for the most part we were lost. In that first spring practice we didn't know what to expect and were a bit shocked. But we picked it up, and before you know it, we wanted to hit and get hit."
   
   Collins started the season as wide receiver, but halfway through the year found himself in the backfield throwing short routes after Donnell went down with a knee injury.

   A Texas Tech graduate with a history degree, Collins will head to New Mexico State to be an intern with the Reformed University Fellowship program. Eventually, Collins said he will head into the ministry.

   "We ended up winning a game and I started the next one, but then Collins took over because he could pass real well."
