   John R. Collins John has been with BC Assessment since 1975 and has held a number of appraisal and management positions throughout the province. He has been a member of the Executive management team since May 2002. Prior to that, he was Area Assessor for 10 years in the Nelson/Trail assessment area.
   
   He is responsible for the overall management and performance of the Legal Services group, the Standards and Audit group and the Valuation Policy group. Collectively, this Division provides policy direction in all matters affecting assessment roll formation and performs audits.
   
   John is an Accredited Appraiser, having received his professional designation (AACI) in 1987. He holds a Diploma in Urban Land Economics from UBC and a Diploma of Building Technology from BCIT. In addition, John has his RI(BC) professional designation from the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia. He has been a speaker at numerous appraisal and assessment seminars, both in BC and in other provinces. He is an accomplished trainer in valuation practices, advocacy/expert witness skills and assessment legislation.
