   The main speaker of the meeting was Joe Collins from Cross Street Automotive & Tire , Inc. , which is at the corner of Cross and South Charles streets. Collins said he and owner/partner Henry Korbach want to build a two-story building abutting the dry cleaners next door.
   
   The building , which would be about 16 by 39 feet , would be used as a pit beef and snowball stand on the first floor and a two-bedroom apartment on the second floor , he said.
   
   We've been there for six years . . . we would like to add an addition to our office and have a carryout pit beef and snowball business , Collins said.

   Collins said the pit beef and snowball operation , if approved , would be open until 2 or 3 a.m. We'll We'll help sober up the drunks , he said.
   
   We would open around 11 a.m. for lunch and we will have parking for pit beef customers after 5 : 30 p.m. , he said.
   
   Collins said a zoning hearing on the issue was scheduled Aug. 8. If we get the OK , we will pull permits and get to work. We would like to be up and running by mid-October..
   
   SBIC members seemed to think the idea was a good one ; there were no negative comments and several people said things like , This is pretty cool , Good idea and Nice design.. A vote on the matter got unanimous approval.
