ROSEMEAD, Calif., Sept. 23, 2003 - The Southern California Edison (SCE) Board of Directors has elected Jodi Collins vice president of Information Technology, promoting her from the role of director of IT Application Services.
Collins joins five other African American executive officers at SCE, diligently working towards the company's goals and objectives, from various key points of operation. Collins is the first African American woman to be named vice president of IT Application Services, securing the position in less than four years with the company.
Collins joined SCE in April 2000 with 28 years of experience in the information technology field including 23 years in management in the insurance, medical, aerospace and manufacturing industries. Collins has been responsible for implementing large, enterprise-wide systems, consolidating systems for large-scale business mergers, and leading as many as 800 technical professionals behind shared visions and unified objectives.
