   Jason was born in Mountain Home, Arkansas in 1975 and grew up in The Woodlands, Texas just north of Houston.He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Sciences from East Texas Baptist University in 1998 and then attended Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth where he earned a Master's of Christian Education.
   
   Jason married Jennifer Young in 1996 and they have one son, Anderson.

   Jason has served in youth ministry since his sophomore year at ETBU when he interned with Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Spring, Texas.He then plugged in to the youth ministry at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Longview, Texas.His first called position was as a part-time youth minister at Woodland Hills Baptist Church, and then as an associate youth minister at Calvary Baptist Church - both in the Longview area.
   
   While attending Southwestern, Jason served in the college ministry of Travis Avenue Baptist Church and upon graduation accepted his first full-time position with First Baptist Church of Greenville, Texas.It was in the fall of 2003 that Jason joined New Hope First Baptist Church and he hopes to minister here for as long as God will allow.

   New Hope has been waiting patiently for this day to arrive.God has blessed us richly with a fine couple who love students and are serious about discipleship.Jason holds a Bachelors degree from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall and a Masters in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.He enjoys building relationships with youth and leading them to engage God in worship and the Word.He is gifted in encouragement, teaching, and mercy!He is looking forward to developing a ministry team with youth workers and parents to impact the youth in our area for Christ.
