James (JC) Collins grew up in the low country of South Carolina and graduated from the Citadel with a BS in Business Administration in 1974. He started his career in public accounting in Columbia with Finch, Hamilton & Company. After three years in Public Accounting, JC moved into manufacturing where he worked as Controller and CFO for various companies. In 1995, he started an accounting practice geared towards small to medium sized companies that cannot afford and do not need a full time controller. At the same time, he started teaching QuickBooks for Midlands Tech. He is a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor since 1999 and today his company works on retainer for approximately forty companies on QuickBooks.
