   Born in Wheaton, Maryland in 1964, Jae Collins spent much of his childhood in Maryland and graduated from Linganore High School in Frederick. He attended Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama where he received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army, and University of Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Statistics, and The George Washington University where he received a Masters in Political Management. Jae served on active duty from 1986-1995 where he competed for and was selected to the US Precision Helicopter Team. Since coming off active duty, Jae has worked as a management and operational consultant for both the private and public sector. Jae serves as the President of his large citizen association and volunteers as a certified golf instructor for the benefit of charities. Jae holds the rank of Major and is a member of the American Legion. Jae met his wife, Sara Hufstader Collins, in Germany and they were married in Denmark in 1994. They currently live in Silver Spring, Maryland.
