J. Allen Collins, as of April 1st, has joined the Almon Funeral Home staff. He is a 1995 graduate of Villa Rica High School. He then attended The State University of West Georgia for 3 years. He is a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. Most recently, J. Allen served a 2 ½ year funeral service apprenticeship and is a state licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica and a member of the Villa Rica Civic Association. In J. Allen's spare time he enjoys antique cars, history and fellowship with family and friends. J. Allen is married to the former Lisa Smith of Villa Rica. She is employed as a nurse for West Georgia Urology in Carrollton. The couple resides in the living quarters of the funeral home. J. Allen says, " I am proud to be a part of the tradition at Almon Funeral Home. Their commitment to the community is something I am very pleased to be a part of."
